CBOSS Association Switches «Volgograd-GSM» to HP Alpha Server

CBOSS Association announced it accomplished installation of Hewlett-Packard hardware at a cellular operator «Volgograd-GSM», Volgograd, Russia.
CBOSS and HP signed an OEM Agreement this year. According to the agreement, CBOSS Association is authorized to develop HP-based software and hardware solutions for EMEA region; HP is entitled to supply CBOSS solutions within the framework of its projects in other regions.
CBOSS and HP specialists have successfully installed at «Volgograd-GSM» and launched a new HP AlphaServer GSM-1280. The server features 8 Alpha EV-7 processors (maximum number of processors is 64) and 8Gb RAM.
CBOSS billing solutions implemented at «Volgograd-GSM» earlier in 1999-2001 were configured to run on the new server: CBOSS Billing System, CBOSSdss Decision Support System, CBOSSssc Supplementary Switching Center, CBOSSte Traffic Engineering System and others CBOSS solutions.
