CBOSS and HP: New Business Relations
Hi-tech & Telecom: #3 (43) ("Company” Magazine Supplement, #309 от 05.04.04)
Hewlett-Packard and CBOSS Association, a Russian billing solutions developer, signed an OEM Agreement in early April. Under the agreement, CBOSS purchases HP hardware/software platform, including НР Non Stop Tandem server and НР OpenCall INS software. HP equipment will become the platform for CBOSSrtb, the solution positioned for telecom enterprises. HP will render comprehensive support to solutions provided by CBOSS.
CBOSS Association acquired CBOSSrtb solution at purchase of Fujitsu Services Оу, a Finland-based On-line Billing Solution developer. At that time, CBOSS top management announced that the Association was disappointed with its Russian clients that couldn't «play the fair game» and tended to throw their money away. The company decided to re-orient to the Western market. CBOSS has already announced it won a billing system tender held by a Norwegian cellular operator Teletopia Mobile Communications AS. Besides, CBOSS inherited several customers from Fujitsu Services Oy: British cellular operator O2, Australian telecom company Optus, Canadian provider Rogers, Austrian company One GmbH, and Columbian cellular operator Colombia Movil.
