13.05.2004 CBOSS Receives HP Channel Excellence Award

HELSINKI, Finland - 13 May 2004 - Real-time billing software vendor CBOSS Oy today announced it has received the HP OpenCall Channel Excellence Award at HP Business Perspectives in Italy. CBOSS was one of five HP OpenCall partners to be rewarded for its excellent work with important clients. The award is given every year to successful partners with the aim to further encourage cooperation between HP and its partners.

A special thank was given to CBOSS for its outstanding performance in a customer installation project realised in Colombia. In 2003, CBOSS and HP together delivered rtBilling, a real-time billing solution developed by CBOSS, to start-up operator Colombia Móvil. The installation project was successfully carried out with a tight timeframe in a challenging environment. The scalability of the solution and the rating functionalities enabling fast delivery of new services and promotions, have helped Colombia Móvil to succeed in the market. Five months after the launch of its OLA branded services, Colombia Móvil has managed to capture a 12% market share with 800 000 customers, and further growth is expected.

CBOSS and HP have been working together since several years, developing and delivering the IN-based rtBilling on HP NonStop and INS platforms. Customers of rtBilling include, in addition to Colombia Móvil, O2 in the UK, ONE GmbH in Austria and Optus in Australia.
