ETK's Subscriber Base Exceeds 2M

The customer base of ETK, the leading telecommunications company of Krasnoyarsk Krai and the Republic of Khkassia, has exceeded 2 million subscribers.

Fully owned by Siberia's largest telecommunications company Sibirtelecom and with 40% of the local market, ETK is the leading company in Krasnoyarsk Krai, far outpacing its federal competitors. Today, it runs GSM-900/1800 and IMT-MC 450 networks.

Since its inception, ETK has always been an innovator, continuously setting up local quality standards. It was the first company in the region that built a GSM-900 network, launched automatic national roaming, and introduced scratch cards with an unlimited validity period. Another achievement of ETK is creation of the northernmost network in Norilsk.

Nowadays, ETK is the fastest growing cellular network operator in Siberia and a top 10 telecommunications industry player in Russia. Its hallmarks are high quality and a widest spectrum of services, including 3G. ETK started in 1997 in Krasnoyarsk with only 17 base stations in NMT-450i network. At the end of 1997, the company served a bit more than 2000 customers. The solution is deployed on the convergent billing system CBOSSbcc that currently supports more than 2M of ETK's subscribers, simultaneously in two telecommunications standards.

Yeniseytelecom, CJSC (ETK) is the largest mobile network operator of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Taymyr Autonomous Okrug, and the Republic of Khkassia. The company provides GSM 900/1800 services. The total subscriber base of the company is more than 2 million subscribers. Since March 1, 2006 Yeniseytelecom has been operating under the ETK brand. According to the research and analysis firm Sotovik, Yeniseytelecom is one of Russia's top ten largest telecommunications companies.
