ARCTEL Enters the International and Long-Distance Communications Market with a Solution from CBOSS

CBOSS has successfully completed IT infrastructure upgrade in ARCTEL to add international and long-distance services to the operator's portfolio.

ARCTEL has announced the completion of a multi-phase project to upgrade its IT infrastructure supported by innovative technologies from CBOSS.

Looking for a hardware and software solution, which would enable ARCTEL to add international and long-distance access to its market offering and centralize customer service, the company opted for the end-to-end solution from CBOSS.

"Using the CBOSS solution, ARCTEL is successfully serving corporate customers in Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk, Ekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, and Moscow. International and long-distance services for individual customers are also underway. Backed up by CBOSS technologies, ARCTEL has been demonstrating sustainable business growth," says Igor Klochko, Deputy General Director at ARCTEL.

With the new infrastructure from CBOSS, ARCTEL's customers can now enjoy a wide choice of appealing long-distance and international rates, flexible discounts, and rich self-care capabilities. For ARCTEL, CBOSS designed and implemented a multi-phase project. The integrated solution included CBOSSbcc convergent billing and customer care, CBOSSinterСonnect interconnect solution, CBOSSip Internet platform, CBOSSics Internet customer service, CBOSSdwh data warehouse, and CBOSSudr analytical reporting.

Within the first phase, the solution for corporate customers of the ARCTEL Moscow office was implemented. The billing and customer care solution was launched and integrated with the accounting system and switching equipment.

During the next phase, the billing solution was implemented for ARCTEL's Intelligent Network in Moscow. In addition to billing, this solution includes the CRM system and middleware responsible for interoperation with ARCTEL's intelligent platforms.

On the third phase, a centralized solution was built to connect ARCTEL's Moscow office with other branches located in Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, Ekaterinburg and Nizhny Novgorod. Also, the implementation of Web-based self-care was completed.

Finally, in October 2008 the interconnect solution was deployed, consisting of the billing system and business intelligence solutions CBOSSdwh and CBOSSudr based on which the reconciliation and cost estimation subsystem was launched. Based on data received from CBOSSinterConnect, it can estimate the cost of each call so that the operator can, using appropriate software, optimize call routing.

ARCTEL's CIO Andrey Meshkov underscored: "Using industrial solutions in core business processes of the company is a key driver for the modern telecommunications business." Having completed the project to build the centralized solution for branches, ARCTEL and CBOSS started to integrate billing systems based on a centralized CBOSS solution in Volgotelcom and other telcos of ROSWEB Group.
