Split Charging Service
CBOSSsplitCharging enables subscribers to make collect calls or split charges between the called and calling parties.
CBOSSsplitCharging is a mass market service boosting telco’s voice traffic.
System Operation
Charges may be split only between subscribers of the same operator.
Subscriber A initiating split charging creates a call request and specifies:
- service prefix;
- destination number (subscriberB);
- call starting time;
- request validity period.
The service is implemented via USSD, SMS or IVR. CBOSSsplitCharging may also support Web and Email interfaces.
At the specified time, CBOSSsplitCharging dials the В number. If subscriber В agrees to accept the collect call, the system reaches subscriber A and establishes the connection. In case of rejection, subscriber A receives an SMS notification.

Integration

To implement a related SMS and USSD interface, CBOSSsplitCharging should be integrated with an SMSC and USSD server (e.g., CBOSSsms and CBOSSussd). Configuration is customized to client’s subscriber base and server capacity.
